Semiconductor chip maker Intel will release a new interface of AlpineRidgeThunderbolt, this interface has a very high transmission speeds up to 40Gbps. Compared to the current FalconRidgeThunderbolt chip, AlpineRidgeThunderbolt has twice the bandwidth of the former, on USB3.0 is a huge improvement. Although AlpineRidgeThunderbolt transmission faster, but they obviously have to get energy on the control, only 50% of the energy consumption AlpineRidge current models.
                                                                         
It is understood that Intel this new connector will be released next year, AlpineRidge will have four models, namely, TBT, DP1.2, USB3.0 and LSPCon HDMI2.0-based models. AlpineRidge support PCI-egen3, and there are two SKU, are daisy-chain dual-port connector, and LP single interface connector.

Connector yet determined the final design, which will be charged with a 100W system features, higher bandwidth, smaller form factor, and backward compatibility.
